BOEM Information Meeting on Draft Offshore Drilling Plan
February 13 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The current administration is doing the bidding of big oil and gas and opening our oceans to unnecessary and dangerous oil drilling. Under the plan, millions of acres of offshore waters and sensitive ecosystems would be open to new drilling, including in the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans, which had been off-limits under the previous plan finalized just last year. This will impact Connecticut and beyond.
Here’s your chance to learn more and let your voice be heard. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is holding a series of public meetings regarding the National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program (OCS)
Join 350 CT at the meeting to rally and protest inside and out in Hartford, Connecticut on February 13, 2018.
From the Bureau of Energy Management ( or Big Oil Employee Meetings):
The meeting will be using an open-house format, so participants can arrive anytime during the scheduled meeting time. Participants can ask questions, share information, talk with team members one-on-one, and learn more about the National OCS Program. Participants are also encouraged to submit written comments to inform BOEM of specific issues, impacting factors, environmental resources, alternatives to the proposed action, and mitigation measures to consider in its analyses.
The five-year proposal is subject to a 60-day public comment period
